Field is set in Annapolis for city council elections
Great news! The Annapolis city council primaries are over and I can start talking about the race! OK, maybe it's only great news for me, but the rest of you can politely ignore it if you want.
We've got two great choices now in Ward 4 and Ward 8, Sheila M. Finlayson and Ross Arnett respectively. The turn out was extremely low in the primary (only 500 people total for all wards, Republicans and Democrats combined), but it was the day after New Years, so from my prospective it was higher than I expected.
If you're a Democrat out there looking for a chance to stick it to the GOP again in the New Year, here's your chance! Both candidates have contact pages so you can volunteer to help out with their campaigns. And if you're in a giving mood, I'm sure they wouldn't turn down any cash you wanted to offer them as well.
It's a New Year folks and yet another chance to keep Maryland the night Blue State that's it's been for so long now. As always the definitive work done on the subject of all things Anne Arundel is every one's favorite ND Sproll over at Blog Arundel.
