Quilted Bag
Things have finally slowed down and I have had some time to be crafty once again! Alexis needed a bag for her dance/gymnastics class so she picked out the fabrics an I made the bag this morning.
Alexis thought since it's partly for a dance class it should have "dance shoes" on the fabric. Good logic if you ask me! ;o)
There is room enough for her tap shoes, her ballet shoes, her change of clothes, her coat, etc.
I started out using a pattern, but it rapidly devolved into gibberish as patterns often do, so I ad libbed the rest of the bag. I ended up adding Velcro to close the bag since it is easier for Alexis to open among other deviations. I like the way it ended up and more importantly Alexis loves it and that's all that matters. :o)
On to the next project!

Cute! I just got a new sewing machine for Christmas and I'm looking forward to getting into some sewing projects!
