It's really scary. I was reading an article yesterday about the number of renters who had been faithfully paying their rent, only to find out that their landlord had not been paying the mortgage and now they were subject to eviction. One of the gentleman wanted to buy the property outright, but the bank told him he'd have to move out and then place a bid. It's a messy situation all around.
