What's Happening Today?

J.K. Rowling writes an 800 word prequel to Harry Potter to be auctioned off for Dyslexia Action and English PEN...She should just write a whole book or a series on Harry's Parents for us all! ;o) The charity thing is cool tough. She's very good about helping out .

Loss of nature hurts the world's poor population.

Monkeys control robot arm with their thoughts...I don't even know where to go with that.

The worst kept secret of all time or otherwise known as the "Well duh!" headline of the day!

Yesterday was the anniversary of the death of actor/comedian Phil Hartman. Mental Floss takes a look at the supposed Saturday Night Live curse.

Geekologie takes a closer look at a Star Trek Cake done by Charm City Cakes (i.e. Ace of Cakes)...I could so hang with those people! ;o)

Why in God's name would you think it was a smart thing to sun bathe ON a railroad track?

Seriously? It's a scarf...Get over it! I despise Rachael Ray, her voice alone makes my skin crawl. "Yumo!" is not a word and why abbreviate it to "EVOO" if you're going to explain what it stands for every freaking time you say it? But whoever dreamed up this scenario (and I won't mention her by name because she's insane) is just completely delusional. Ugly scarf end of story. Move on! Also I'm not a fan of Dunkin Donuts, but they were wrong to bow to the hysterical screeches of someone who clearly has no grip on reality and pull this ad. More on the controversy here.

Scary isn't it? Read up on their delivery prices too. You could easily end up spending just as much on delivery or more than you did for the actual cake! I still love them though. :o)

You who drives me insane? Michelle Malkin. Now there is a screechy one for you. And completely insane. It's sad that people take her seriously at all. Shame on Dunkin Donuts for being so stupid.

(I'm sorry. That article kinda made me mad.)

She drives me nuts too. I just didn't want to name her by name. LOL Dunkin Donuts was stupid on this one. I mean really, anyone that takes her seriously needs help, but sadly I know a few people who probably sing MM's praises. Oh well.
