Where the Hell is Matt 2008?

If you've never heard of Matt Harding hop on over to www.whereisthehellismatt.com and follow his journey. He's been across the world where he dances, sometimes alone, sometimes with the locals, and then films where he has been and shares it on YouTube. It's really neat and it gives me the chills to watch him interacting with some many people across the globe! Check it out!

What's Happening Today?

A rainbow was spotted over DC moments after "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" was played at Tim Russert's funeral. Wild!

People should have better things to do with their time than make up crap. I've gotten that e-mail from two separate people in the past 24 hours as if it is true. Just because it says it has been checked on Snopes, doesn't mean it actually was, nor does it mean its contents are true.

This is ridiculous! That is way too expensive for a ticket to a show, Broadway or not. It's taking art and making inaccessible to the common person.

This goes along with the first story in that just because people say something doesn't make it so. Do a little research on your own and educate yourself to the truth.

FYI

Several people have mentioned that they tried to send me an e-mail and I never answered. The Daffodil Lane e-mail accounts for all three of us no longer exist. All I got on them was 10,000+ spam e-mails a day and the occasional e-mail so I nuked them. If you've tried to e-mail and I didn't answer that's why. Leave a comment on DL if you need to tell me something and I'll get back to you. :o)

An Empty Chair For Russert

Today's Meet the Press was a tribute to Tim Russert. They left the moderators chair open in his honor as they remembered his contributions to the show and his life.

"Our issue this sad Sunday morning is remembering and honoring our colleague and friend," Brokaw said.

"He said he was only the temporary custodian," of this program, which he called a national treasure, Brokaw said. "Of course, he was so much more than all that."

Brokaw sat among some of Russert's other colleagues in the front of the show's set, including Pulitzer Prize-winning author Doris Kearns Goodwin and political analysts Mary Matalin and James Carville, who is also a CNN contributor.

Apparently NBC's Tim Russert collapsed and died today shortly after doing voice overs for Meet the Press. The early suspicion is that it was a heart attack. He was 58 years old. He is survived by his wife and a son. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends.

What's Happening Today?

Dennis Kucinich filed 35 articles of Impeachment against President Bush on the floor of the House of Representatives last night and major media outlets are mostly ignoring the fact. Why? I had to go search for the news. I applaud him, though I doubt this will go anywhere, even though it really should.
