i don't know if i believe the big single-family homes will be extinct in 13+ years. the single-family home has been a dream for many for 50+ years. i personally can't imagine living with so many insensitive people with the smell of Starbucks wafting through the air every morning. Doesn't sound like quality of life to me.

I don't think it will be extinct either. People like their own space. I have lived in apartments, townhouses and houses and I have to say the houses win hands down! The experience of living with people right on top of you literally I'm sure helped build character or whatever whoo ha, but I wouldn't want to go back to that! Wide open spaces are the way to go!
