Oh Well

Melissa and Amanda have both resigned from the Edwards campaign. I had a feeling this would happen. The right wing nutters are just that...NUTS! They have no idea of decency and I think that's apparent from the threats and bile they've been throwing around toward both women.

Stay safe ladies. We here in the reality based community support you both 100%!!

Very Disappointed

I was extremely disappointed with Edwards' comments about Melissa and Amanda. Yes he didn't fire them, but it was if he was scolding three year olds instead of actually standing up the the right wing nutters. I've thought about it all afternoon, hoping that I would see some reason to his actions, but I must say I still am just simply disappointed.

I wanted a more forceful rebuttal to those who themselves truly spread hate. I wanted him to take a stand, not simply try to smooth out the waves. I wanted him to back them up and not give the right wing any credence, but sadly I think he has done just that. As I said before I'm just extremely disappointed.

You can read Edward's comments here. Melissa and Amanda both made statements as well.

I don't know where this leaves me right now in my support for Edwards. To be honest he's a bit tarnished in my eyes and sadly there isn't anyone in the current list of contenders that can step into that void.

I was disappointed as well, by what he said and by the mediocre structure of the statement. If it's an indication of his writing talent, he'd better be glad he kept his bloggirls -- especially Melissa, who is an amazing wordsmith.

Okay, I've been in training classes at work for the past two weeks. I kinda saw something was afloat with those two blogging for Edwards. I was wondering how long it would take for isht to hit the fan. I'm just glad he had sense enough not to can them. His campaign would crash and burn if he did.

Posted by: Qusan at February 8, 2007 11:39 PM

Melissa definitely has a way with words! She's brilliant!

I'm not sure that his campaign isn't going to crash and burn anyway. I think they've marked him. I'll readily admit I'm not as thrilled with him as I was before. I really am hoping that Gore will run.

Chris Bowers has spoken.

I've been spending all day working behind the scenes on this, and I will continue to do so this evening. With 100 comments in the first open thread about this subject, here is a new one.

I also wish to make something else clear. While there is no way I will support Edwards with Amanda and Melissa are fired, I will immediately become a staunch Edwards supporter if they are not fired. Consider the heinous reporting that is being done in this story, where bigot William Donahue is somehow an authority on what defines hate speech, it is clear that the Edwards campaign will take a lot of flack from outside the netroots if they do not fire Amanda and Melissa. Keeping them on would show a willingness to take risks and stand up to the media in a way that most Democrats just are not, all because the campaign will be doing so in order to defend the netroots.

If someone is willing to stand with us, that should mean something big, and should not go unrewarded.

I have to say I agree with Dianne and pretty much the rest of the Netroots on this one. This is the ultimate test for Edwards campaign, if he bows to radical extremists over this then he doesn't have what it takes to be President. I'm sure the establishment Democrats are screaming for him to throw these two great bloggers over the side of the ship so that they don't offend this group of crazies. This is their common triangulation mentality, if we are nice to the radical extremists they might vote for us. This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard, these people are driven by hate, fear, and greed. There is nothing the Democratic party has to offer them, I mean we got the money quote from them in the Texas elections last year "I wouldn't vote Democrat, even if Jesus Christ was running." Edwards wins a lot more points by standing up the extremists and sending a message to his base that he's not a coward that we bow to these out of touch fools anymore.

On an amusing side note, everyone seems to have forgotten Kerry was Catholic, these "anti-Catholic" bloggers campaigned for and voted for a Catholic, that's real commitment of their bigotry there. Melissa also went to Loyola University, obviously she's been avoiding Catholics for years now. The reality here this is the radical right first desperate volley in their cooridnated campaign for 2008. It's going to be a desperate spin of every word and idea into something it's not in hopes of a tricking the American people into voting for their radical buddies in the Republican party come next November. Don't fall for it people.

Markos is so right it's scary.

It appears for the second time in a week, one of the central themes of Crashing the Gates has been demonstrated for me right before my own eyes. I've been trying to work both angles of this problem, well let me start closer to the beginning. There are basically three types of people in politics. Politicos (establishment folks included) which are directly involved in the process, activists that try to shape the process into something different and then the unwashed masses, who are pretty much clueless about the process and convincing them to get involved is a painful affair. People tend to be in one of these three categories.

Working with Politicos is pretty much one of the most physically exhausting things I do. They have their own language and customs and it's hard to connect with them, because they just don't work the way you or I do. I should paint with too broad a brush stroke with this. The more power that a Politico seeks, the less easy it is to understand them and their motivations. I've had very little trouble connecting with local candidates, most of them are just like me, they just decided to put their name on a ballot.

And that brings me to the next class of people in politics...The Activists. I'm an Activist, which basically means I'm aware of what the politicos are up too, but I'm only interested in specific aspects of it. Activists are challenging in their own right, because the vast majority of them are so focused on their own issue that they ignore everything else that's happening in the world around them. I try to keep the broadest focus I possibly can as an Activist, which actually makes me sound more like a politico, but I'm still just an Activist.

So if you read Crashing the Gates, Markos has a long conversation about the complete failure of the liberal Activist community to actually get out of their issue silos and grasp the big picture of the situation at hand, which has led to a bunch of unholy alliances with "moderate" Republicans, who destroy the American way of life. There is no such thing as a moderate Republican, there are only those that try to destroy America and those who enable them to do it.

So what does this have to do with anything Jamison? Well last night I watched a group of Liberal Activists in the DFA proceed down an issue silo and create a defacto alliance with the radical right. I'm not questioning the merits of their arguments, they are all completely valid and legitimate, but if you step back and look at the big picture, they are so focused in their silo that they have effectively cut themselves off from the people that agree with them.

None of this stuff happens in a vacuum, people's egos and lust for power are pretty hard to ignore, but in the end you have to ask yourself, what kind of country do you want to live in? If we all don't join forces against a ruthlessly organized radical right wing threat dedicated to our total destruction, then we are in effect saying that our destruction is the right thing to do. They are a godless machine hell bent on destroying this country, every one of them down to the last man, woman and child are willing to sacrifice their lives to make sure that they cause America harm and ultimately it's complete destruction. There is no hesitation. Their entire blue collar ranks are being effectively starved to death by their anti-America plans and yet without a job or the ability to feed their family, they march happily to the polls every election cycle to vote a few more years of oppressive and destructive Republican rule.

Against an enemy like this, there is no silo that is significant, no issue worth quibbling about. We fight together to save our country and ourselves from evil. That's just the way it has to be.

Therefore those who win every battle are not really skillful-those who render others' armies helpless without fighting are the best of all.
Art of War 'Sun Tzu'

Jamison you need to reread the two books every leader needs to have read at least twice. Sun Tzu's 'Art of War' and Niccolo Machiavelli's 'The Prince'.

In your DFA it seems that the fragmentation of the party is allowing the Radical Right to subvert part of the base of the Dem. Party. This is because both sides have become so polarized in the last ten plus years. Parties should be about ways to run the nation not about peoples individual rights. Gay, Guns and God are issues of the individual not the state or federal government.

Election Day for the Netroots

Well today is the day! There are two major Netroots supported candidates up for election today. So keep your fingers crossed folks! In the CA-50 Busby is running for the seat of disgraced Republican criminal Duke Cunningham. This has become a race of desperation for the Republican party. They have a massive registration advantage in the district, yet they've had to spend 10 million now trying to motivate the Republican base to vote. The right wing noise machine is also in full force in the race as well, trashing Busby at every opportunity, trying to maintain the sinister structure of corruption that has come to define the Republican party. I'm still not overly hopeful at this point in the race, polls have Busby at 49% support. But there are some things working against her, the Governor's race has turned extremely ugly on the Democratic side and that is likely to be a drag on Busby because people will just not vote. Add in Republican hate for this country and the desire to see it destroyed and I think her numbers will be closer to my original guess of 44% to 46%. But hopefully today I will be proved wrong. Anything above 46% is a defeat for the Republican party.

The second big race is the Senate race in Montana. Jon Tester is the Netroots support candidate verses the establishment Democrat Morrison. Morrison is suffering heavily from his own ethical problems, which would make him easy prey in a red leaning state combined with the right wing noise machine. Tester has gained a lot of support from Democrats in the last couple of weeks, and he's pulled ahead in the polls, but this close to the election anything could happen. Burns is a vile representation of everything that the Republican party is. He's knee deep in the most hideous corruption scandals in Washington and he's so obstinate that he doesn't have any concerns because the Republicans of Montana support corruption and criminality because it's a part of the make up of the Republican mindset. While I'm confident this is mostly true of Republicans nationwide, I wouldn't put even money on it out West. When I lived there, there use to be a sense of national pride and independence that transcended political party. Now you never see that down South or in any other of the places where the Republican have a strangle hold over the region, but I really find it hard to believe that the frontier types would tolerate this kind of behavior. I could be absolutely wrong about them, I've been proven completely wrong by the levels of corruptions that define the Republican to this day and how strongly the minions on the ground love the constant acts of criminality and efforts to undermine the very fabric of our society. Their hate for our country knows no bounds and or limits, they just want it destroyed no matter the cost. I just never could imagine that kind of sinister behavior become so ingrained in a people who were once so dedicated to making America a better place. But there is no time to figure out what went wrong, we've got to save America from this cancer that is the Republican party.

I guess Mr Tester won? So there's a victory for netroots. I'll give some stuff from polipundit.com about CA-50 below (note: right wing site, but quite enlightening). To boil it down:
In yesterday's election there was a Repub, a Dem and another candidate to the right of the Repub on immigration (Xenophobe?). The results were roughly
Repub 50
Dem 45
Xen 5
In the Pres election of 2004 the results for CA50 were roughly
Repub 55
Dem 45
See a pattern? All that work in CA-50 and truly, not much to show.
I live in CA, in an area heavily inhabited by illegals. In the media the issue is framed like this:
"Hardworking, noble brown-skinned immigrants under attack from racist right wingers." In reality, things are less cut and dried. The illegals are mostly good people, of course. Where I live there are tons of progressive Dems who rant about upping the minimum wage and support a living wage. Yet they have no qualms about exploiting poor Mexicans to clean their toilets. It is not just rich Repub business owners who dump their workers onto emergency rooms and food banks. Also, here in CA a huge percentage of the people in jail are illegals. This causes overcrowding and early release of other prisoners. Some of these other prisoners are not just victims of police harrassment. Some are really bad guys who are a danger to have out on our streets.
Anyway, just wanted to let you know that this is not a simplistic issue at all. Instead of racism, the dominant force is more exploitation. The exploiters come in all political stripes. They wind up dumping the burden of caring for people with no safety net onto the rest of us. Kinda like "taxation without representation."
Hope you enjoy the Tester victory!

Here's the polipundit report--
Bilbray is a former lobbyist for the Federation for American Immigration Reform, and is a virtual poster-child for the Tom Tancredo wing of the GOP.

On the other side was Francine Busby, a pro-illegal Democrat, who hammered hard on the “Republican culture of corruption” theme. If there is one district where this might have worked, it is CA-50, where disgraced former Congressman Randy Duke Cunningham resigned, leading to this special election.

The tough-on-illegal-immigration stance won. Bilbray seems to have won about 50 percent of the vote (latest results here)

Busby appears unable to break the 45 percent threshold, which is about what Al Gore and John Kerry won in this district. Add to that the fact that Democrats had contested statewide primaries yesterday, likely leading to high Democrat turnout, and you begin to appreciate the importance of the 45 percent threshold.

About 4 percent of the vote went to a candidate who was to the right of Bilbray on immigration!

Turn out was low in the California yesterday. Around 38%, the Democratic infighting suppressed the turnout.

Bipartisan Bill for Net Neutrality Passes, 20-13

Given how corrupt and vile your average Republican is, it's a complete surprise to see them struggling across the divide to stand up for American freedoms. Evidently their bribes from the Telecos weren't large enough to justify selling out the American people this time. Of course this was just a committee vote so this isn't over yet.

If you're not aware of the Net neutrality debate, here are the basics. The Republican leaning Telecos want to control what you can get access to on the Internet, so they can cut off the rising power of the on-line communities in political discussions. The Telecos have created legislation that basically allows them to no longer guarantee access to sites according to the international standards of the Internet. Instead they would be able to cut you off from any information that they didn't feel you needed acces. It's a similar system to what the Chinese use to oppress their citizens access to the Internet.

It's so funny how the Republicans have chosen to approach this, claiming that the Democrats are trying to "regulate" the Internet. The Internet was always regulated by standards setup by the people that created it, they are doing nothing but maintaining the existing system so the Republicans can't kill off all innovation. Now most smart people already knew that, but we all know how dumb your average Republican is, they happily jump on board anything against regulation. Funny in light of all the catastrophic failures that have come to define Republican efforts to deregulate industries, I think they would have learned by now. But they're Republicans, they can't learn so no point in waiting for them too. I'm sure we will be seeing something like the Republican ads saying CO2 is good for us for allowing ourselves to be marched into Prison camps. We've all always been oppressed, why would we change now??

Chris Bowers wins in Pennsylvania

I mentioned that Chris Bowers on a whim had decided to run for a seat on the DCC in Pennsylvania and I got some excited emails from Jane over at Above Average Jane informing me that he had succeeded in winning with his write in campaign. The implications of this win will probably echo around the blogosphere for quite a while. Establishment Politicos live in absolute terror that people will start actually paying attention to the political organizations that they belong too. No matter the political party, they want us to vote when we are told, give money when they ask, and other than that they want us to mind our own business. We don't know enough to "understand" what they are up to. Americans have abandoned their traditional role as the managers of their political future and instead have left it in the hands of people who don't trust them. It's time for Americans to actually involve themselves in politics and it's time for politics to get messy for the politicos. Sometimes it's good to have a primary because it forces people to become involved in the political process, which is what we need to make sure that we have better choices to offer people come election day.

Gandhi's famous four-step description of a movement's process to power

"First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win."

SusanG over at Daily Kos did an interesting write up about the failing and collapsing Republican revolution today. I always enjoy Gandhi quotes, but she took a different spin on it that I had ever considered. She attempted to apply it to the Republican Revolution. Which on the surface is a perfectly reasonable thing to do, what good is a theory if it doesn't work to explain all instances of a situation. She got in trouble as she tried to explain why the Republican collapse was happening and I think I've got a better way to explain it. It's actually very simple...any revolution based on immoral objectives will not follow the path that Gandhi laid out. The Netroots for example, is a moral revolution and as we see it's heading through the states just as Gandhi would predict. But immoral revolutions, those whose only objective is the oppression and destruction of other human beings can never last. It's just the nature of such vile behavior, something deep down inside the human condition will resist it, even if it takes generations and rise up to defeat it. It's just something in our genetic code that makes us able to realize inequity and injustice, we can be taught to ignore the goodness within our own souls, but the reality is that you can never stamp it out no matter how evil you are or how hard you try. Our own humanity will resurface and we will right the wrongs of the past, which is why these kinds of "revolutions" do not follow the rules of a moral revolution. They are doomed to fail from the moment they are started. It's only the fools that follow them that don't have that realization.

Is it time for Bloggers to stop criticizing Democrats?

John over at America blog brought up the notion, which was the result of some pushing from Congressional types. We liberals are pretty much equally hated by both sides of the fence. Republicans hate us because we bring the truth about their radical right wing hate ideology out for the world to see. And Democrats hate us because we demand that they bring themselves to a higher standard than politics as usual in Washington. We take flak from both sides continuously. The Democrats scream that we are pushing them too far left, when the reality of the situation is that they will never be right wing enough to get a single vote from the America hating Republicans. At best we are trying to pull them back to the center of the political spectrum that they seem to think is a point of view they should abandon.

When they give up on America, they will have completely lost the political war and the nation forever. Someone has to hold onto the real moderate point of view and we bloggers are the last line of defense for that point of view. Mind you most of us would much rather see some real progress being made and we talk about that. But the reality is that if we can keep the Democrats from drifting too far right, then we can save the nation and then we can seriously start worrying about making some real progress.

Which brings us back to the real matter of concern for the Democrats, their desperate effort to protect DINO's because they are incumbents. These people have abandoned the moderate positions and decided to abandon the principals of the United States. And we should ignore that? I don't think so. It's a disgrace that anyone would even suggest that kind of behavior. The enemies of America are just that...enemies. It doesn't matter their political affiliation. If you're not working everyday to make America a better place in Washington, then you'er a failure and you should be prepared to deal with the consequences. If you don't want to get grief from the blogosphere, then you need to straighten up and fly right.

Mikulski is way to conservative for my tastes, but her heart is in the right place and she's trying to do a good job for the American people. So you don't hear me complaining about the few lapses she's had. Now if she does something crazy then I'm going to be all over her case, because it's my job as a citizen to remind her to do a good job as my representative. Same is true of all elected officials, election year or not, if they are going to go against the grain of the American people then they should expect to meet resistance.

Democrats have an election where they need to prove they are something different than the America hating Republicans. If they try to act more like them, they better expect to take some serious grief from all corners. I will always try to give people the benefit of a doubt, but if the Democrats want to earn the support of the blogosphere then they are going to have to start displaying some character and conviction to the American people.

It is time we did away with the party system or form a third party that sits in the middle. This party should have some basic goals. I.) Rebuild the nation as an economic power house that is not dependent on anyone else in the world. Stop out sourcing jobs to make companies numbers look better at the end of every quarter and stop companies from using tax shelters off shore to avoid paying their fair share. II.)Stop fighting useless wars that gain this nation nothing but filled grave yards. Lets go back to TR's
"Walk softly but carry a big stick". III.) In courage investment in the nation. IV.)Keep the federal government out of personal and family matters. V.)Set a reasonable goals for the education of our young and step back and let the states carry it out in their own ways. It is not the federal governments place to be involved in every aspect of a class room. The states need to get back to teaching the subjects not the test.
VI.) Rebuild the nations infrastructure. VII.) Make the nation energy independent by 2020. VIII.) Remove lobbing from capital close down K Street in Washington. If you do not live or work in a district or a state you have no business talking to that reprehensive or senator. IX.) Maintain a separation of church and state. (AKA no subsidizing churches to do what the bible calls on them to do anyway. Add to that that the only tax exempt property of a church are houses of worship, schools, and medical facilities thin that the bible calls up on them to do. This excludes Trucking line, Markets, Distilleries, hotels, restraints ect.) X.) Remove the strangle hold of lawsuits in our courts by establishing mediation for non criminal law suits.

Net Neutrality

I've tried to stay out of the fray on this one, because it's one of those obvious things that I shouldn't have to talk about because it's so obviously bad. The Republicans want to help their corporate campaign contributors build a two tiered Internet. Two tiered is code for pay Internet. Right now everyone is treated as an equal on the Internet, this website, the White House website, the Fox News Website, and so on are all on equal footing. This is because the Internet was built around the notion that all information is equally good. The reality is that the supposition isn't true, but the principal itself is critical. Since there isn't really an effective way for ruthless political entities like corporations to cut us off from information the Internet has become the last remnant of what was once a great democracy. Now the Republicans who are losing control over the flow of the information from their propaganda machines, which we refer to as the traditional media, and they've decided that it's time to destroy the thorn in their side once and for all. They've led the charge to create a multi-tiered network, under the thin guise of providing the end user with less spam in their inbox. That's how Republicans work, they start with a legitimate concern and then they corrupt it to serve their long term interests of destroy this great nation. By turning this over to corporations they get to decide what is legitimate sources of information. So the next thing you know you can't get email from the Democratic party, or Moveon.org, then you can't get to their websites, and so on and so forth. Their dream is to eliminate this new organizing medium that has developed against them. With the Party strangle hold and goal of destroying America at risk, now they strike out ruthlessly with their efforts to eliminate the Internet as we know it. If we let this go forward, our grandchildren will be discussing the latest email stamp increase and be baffled by the notion that we once did all this for free and that we had the ability to filter our own email, instead of being forced by corporate America to read their advertisements. Folks the only hope for this nation's future is the vote every worthless piece of human trash that makes up any level of the Republican out of office this November. You may not have the chance to do it again, so you should act quickly. We must keep the Internet Neutral for our own futures and that of our children.

Top down verses Bottom Up

The other half of the "We aren't the Democrats" conversation was the debate on the best approach to handle the Republican cancer consuming our country. There is some concern at some levels about what approach is better...to do it completely top down or bottom up. My first thought when I heard the discussion was one of my notorious eye rolls followed by "Put three smart people in a room and you come out with 7 different solutions to a problem and no consensus on which one is best!"

It reminds me in college psychology. We were given this team work task. Basically you're given a list of things to prioritize...first you do it by yourself and then you do it as a group. In a perfect world the group should come up with better answers than any one member of the group. It's sometimes called Collective Intelligence. It also has another name when it goes wrong Group Think.

Now when I did this exercise, I fell back on my knowledge and experience about such things and created a listing. Then when I got into a group I presented the same cases for my decisions to a group full of smart people. The problem is that when you work as a collective, there is an assumption that all peoples knowledge and experiences are equally good, but that leads you down a dangerous road. The long and short of the story is that while everyone has something to contribute to the process, ultimately someone among the smart people has to sit down and decide who's more right than everyone else.

Which brings us back to politics and organization. I'm a big fan of the grassroots outreach programs, but the reality is that we are working against an enemy that moves as one mind. So to protect ourselves we need to defer some portion of the decision making process outside the grassroots. To put it more simply, the debate is a version of the Rural verses Urban debate that separates Republicans and Democrats. Rural/bottom up thinkers want everything to be done at a local level with local interests at heart. Urban/top down thinkers want strategic decisions made on a larger scale to make sure that the decisions of one locality doesn't harm another.

As you can guess, I'm a top down thinker on a grand scale. I love the statement "Think Globally, Act Locally". And I think ultimately the right answer is to have the two mindsets working in concert. The problem is that in between now and then you've got people that support one or another and they don't want to lose the power. I mean the founding fathers worked against this in the Constitution. Ultimately Rural/bottom up thinking doesn't work on a grand scale...too many cooks in the kitchen spoils the soup. But at the same time if Urban/Top down thinking does respond to the bottom quickly it becomes disconnected from the realities on the ground and does more harm than good.

Smart people can work together to bridge this gap between to the two mindsets, sacrifices for the greater good will have to be made, but I think we will all be better in the long run. Because without a combined approach our hate filled enemy will march over us all and destroy our nation. It's not a fact that we can take for granted.

DFA Link

I don't remember mentioning it, but I guess I should. Everyone should join DFA Link!! It's a great site and allows you access to a lot of information. Personally I think the automated mapping of events and the ability to harass people in power are the best parts. :) Of course the people in power in Maryland are probably pretty much at their breaking point with all my questions and requests. But I'm sure they'll survive the onslaught. I noticed a lot of my blogging friends from Hamilton County Democrats are also on DFA link as well. It definitely allows you to plug into an entirely different level of the political process. I mean I actually got a notice about rewriting the opt-out policy for recruitment in our local high schools. That's probably the first thing of a local nature I've heard about happening in my county since I moved here. This battle against the radical Republican extremists is happening at every level of our government and we all need to take steps to be involved at every level to make sure that none of the radical hate ideology is allow to grow unchallenged. Think globally act locally. And remember you don't have to take advantage of every opportunity, just be aware of what is going on in your area.

Join up at DFA Link.

Building a Grassroots Army: Volunteer Recruitment

Had another great DFAlink class the other night. This is one of the areas of politics that has always caused me a lot of trouble personally. I hate the notion of exploiting someone for personal gain. I'm a naturally intrinsically motivated person. I don't do anything I don't want to do, and I'm naturally resistant to all forms of positive reinforcement. The notion of being motivated by having my ego stoked is intellectually and morally offensive to me. I do because I want to do, not because of anything anyone tells me. Which is the exact opposite of the way the rest of the world works, it's all about ego stoking. Which is why I've always stayed away from politics in the past, I don't like it. Now having said all that, I do understand how it works. Before I turned towards the light and became a decent person, I was the grand master at this kind of stuff. For me the challenging moral question is if someone wants to be exploited is it ok to exploit them? People are trading you the most valuable resource on Earth, their time. Time they could be spending with their families and asking you to utilize it towards a political end. You have to so carefully measure the quality of life that this endeavor will give them verses what they are losing in the exercise. Or at least this is what pops into my head every time I think about it. The Republican party is particularly vile and destructive to the very fabric of our country, but what could these people be losing if they aren't doing something else. And the entire system is set up to create a spiraling increase of time required of people. Mind you the DFA techniques are very good because it makes sure their time is used as efficiently as Earthly possible. In one of the example the presenter used, he mentioned about a couple of high school kids that liked each other and were using the campaign he was running as an excuse to be together. He talked about making sure that they always ended up together and kept giving them more "opportunities" to work together. Would it not have been better for them to just set the two of them down in the same room and make them talk about their feelings and let them get on with their lives? That's my always been my concern, isn't the greater good more important than anything else?

Ultimately do the ends justify the means in this situation?

DFA Night School

One of the most frustrating aspects of politics is the utter lack of information to help you make the best decisions possible. The Republican hate machine has been working for three decades to train millions of hate filled minions that have metastasized across the entire nation. On the left there is a gapping hole of information. Everything is being done behind closed doors, everything hidden from the people on the ground. For Republicans these kinds of things don't concern them. They all share the same hate of America, so they don't care how it's destroyed, only that it's destroyed as quickly as possible. From the godless animals in Washington, to the brain dead drone on the ground, Republicans move as one hate filled machine slashing wildly at the greatness of America. On the left there is only what can be described as chaos. There are brilliant minds working to save this country, but they are locked away from the rest of us who are trying to figure out how to save the country. So we are all reinventing the wheel rather than going toe to toe with the Republican hate machine. So the DFA folks decided to do an online training session tonight. I have to say I was fairly impressed and disappointed at the same time. Realize that conference call related training is something we do on nearly a daily basis in the corporate world. I basically had done 4 of these style calls today before I did the DFA meeting this evening. So on that level I'm completely unimpressed. But the notion that they are trying does impress me. The call exposed something I had been worrying about for a while. The Democratic establishment is a truly two tiered arrangement currently. There are those in it and those that aren't. The ones in it have little or no interest in those outside of it. Activists are a special breed of highly motivated individuals. When you can put nearly a thousand of them in one place for an hour you are welding a massive amount of power. But the problem is that they are still doing the soft sell. The notion is that there is something about politics that can't be comprehended by normal people. Activists aren't normal people by any stretch of the imagination. If they offer a class in person, they should offer the exact same class online with all the source materials. Scheduling a thousand people in the same place is hard, but when you could expose five or six times as many people with the same information you really are effecting things on a totally different level. The State parties are completely closed off to us so we have to be able to get our information from somewhere. Not to mention you could refine the courses based on the questions you get from those many times as many people taking them and make them that much better. I went ahead and signed up for all the other courses that they are offering and I'm going to advocate that they move every class they teach online in some sort of streaming format to allow more people to get involved. If you're interested in helping out in politics in your area, I definitely recommend getting involved in the DFA Night School. The teacher claimed that they were going to put the audio from tonight's call online. It's still not up as I'm writing this, but it has only been an hour and in political world something that should take ten minutes usually takes a couple of days minimum. It's a completely different mindset that I'm personally used to.

I did not see any DFA canadates from the South. Are those of us down here too far gone? ;>

Posted by: Royal at April 12, 2006 8:24 AM

Well the short answer is yes. The more useful answer is that the DFA is a progressive organization. Progress by its very nature requires change. Southerners despise change more than life itself. So you'll find the listings for Southern style candidates to be noticeably lacking. It's not impossible, but you're more likely to get struck by lightening than find a Southern candidate that can win an election that supports any significant change.

Dean seen boosting DNC from bottom up

There are few bigger fans of the 50 State Strategy than me. The radical right wing has been out poisoning the country side while the Democrats have sat back assuming no one would believe that the insane drivel coming out of the Republican's mouths. The reality is that in the absence of another voice to actually speak to the truth, their message of hate has been internalized by those out of the mainstream. The reality has always been that the Republicans only represent a narrow group of radical extremists and then only when their Corporate Masters allow them to, yet fools abound that are willing to believe whatever crap the Republicans are shoveling over the fence. Most people are just natural born followers, so if everyone else is joining a racist hate group calling itself a political party, they are quite willing to just go along with it just to fit in. The Republicans have capitalized on this by working within the most radical of the churches and encouraging the new version of the Christian Identity movement to flourish which has labeled itself the born again movement. The only way to counter these movements is to meet them on the ground and fight them face to face. Luckily most of the people in these kinds of movements are worthless cowards, so only the threat of a challenge sends them scurrying back into the shadows of evil that spawned them. Dean's doing a good job. Republicans will always have more money, because they are willing to sell the votes to the highest bidder...corruption is the core defining value of the Republican party. People that worry that the Democrats aren't corrupt enough are dumb. Katrina shows the morally bankrupt Republicans will fail America over and over again. This year will be just as bad or worse. And their failures will be just as dramatic. Republicans can't stop hating America long enough to actually stand up and do the right thing.

On a side note, these people sound very serious and ruthless, how do I find them??

Politics Update

It may appear that I've slacked off on the politics front, but the reality is that I've stopped talking and started doing things about politics. It takes a lot more time to do than it does to talk, but hopefully I will be making some forward progress for our country. Also with the Republicans eliminating the freedom of the press as we speak, the number of stories that are out there are decreasing. So there has been little in the way of positive progress to talk about. I'm having quite a bit of fun working with the Young Democrats, they seem receptive to new ideas. I'm not sure if it will be enough, but at least I'm doing something on the ground to help.

On a larger front of the 50 State Strategy has been an abject failure. We now have 6 unchallenged seats in Republican Controlled Congressional districts. 6 Districts where the enemies of America are allowed to pour their time and resources into undermining our way of life all over the country. The Democrats have broken their own record for the largest number of seats challenged in an election cycle, but it's not enough when they leave these kinds of gapping holes. The notion that Republican hate our country and our way of life still hasn't sunk in at the state level of most Democratic parties is all I can guess. Good news for my parents though, by accident I got in contact with the Director of their Congressional District (I requested that the information be corrected). He had one on the line that bailed on the notion and another that's considering it anonymously currently. I'm not sure what that means, but it doesn't sound good to me. I've offered to blog about whoever they can get on the ballot, but I'm not sure there is much more I can do about it from here.

Republicans eliminate freedom of speech and hate the country?

Really?

Posted by: M. Fearghail at March 13, 2006 8:54 PM

The Republican party primary foundations are hate, fear, and greed. I've never heard anything to suggesting that they were going to shift their political views any time soon. And I said freedom of the press. They haven't gotten around the speech yet, but it's on their agenda.

Wal-Mart Enlists Bloggers in P.R. Campaign

Wal-Mart is a big Republican organization so the notion they would follow the Republican model for disinformation is not the least bit surprising. What I don't get is why they keep thinking they are going to get away with it? We live in the age of instantaneous communications, why would you think you could just lie like that? Oh wait...because the Republicans get away with everyday without a single consequence! We've entered an age in American history where criminality has become the norm of existence. Only those that are willing to lie, cheat and steal are going to be allowed to succeed. It's a sad commentary, but just what we've all come to expect from the Republican establishment.

So bloggers are selling out to the Big Money Machine?

Posted by: Royal at March 8, 2006 11:55 AM

These aren't traditional, organic bloggers. These are people they hire to blog about them in a positive light. They are employees in essence. Most of these people have never blogged a day in their lives before they do this stuff for whatever company, in this case Wal-Mart. There's a big difference.

Continuing to Push for 434

Great news! The good folks of North Carolina came through and we have all their Congressional districts covered for the next election cycle so we are now up to 385 seats challenged. Today is Mississippi's turn to step up and deliver another blow to the hate filled GOP. The rumor is that they are missing one candidate as of this morning. I've been over to the Mississippi Democratic party's blog and been poking them to get someone in the last slot. No body wants to be embarrassed by being as bad as Texas for not stepping up. Mind you the folks in Texas are saying if the Supreme Court kills the Republican redistricting that the sign-up will open again with the new districts. That's a long shot considering the Republicans control the Supreme Court and have no interest in protecting the rights of any American. So it's gone...they failed and the maximum number is now 434. The great part is that the Democrats have already broken the record for the most seats they've ever challenged at one time of 380 seats. Now they are going for the Republican record 419 seat challenged in 1994. You'll recall that was the year that the scandal ridden Democrats were swept out in droves and the failed Neo-Conservative Revolution began. Hopefully we can start undoing the terrible damage that worthless, vile revolution did to our once great nation. I've started poking all the bloggers I know in states that have unchallenged seats. Review the list and if you can get someone on the ballot, please do. I'm still trying to get through all the lessons on how to run an Insurgent Political campaign against the America hating Republicans in the GA-10. I'm still hoping that the Georgia Democrats will step up and save me from having to go that route, but they still haven't stepped up yet and time it is a wasting. Anyway, the first block are the places with deadlines in the next thirty days that have open seats.

OH: 18 of 18

Good news! We've got candidates fight every piece of human trash that makes up the Republican party in Ohio. The next area of the trouble appears to be North Carolina and Mississippi. The reports suggest that we have one unchallenged seat in North Carolina and two unchallenged in Mississippi. So if you live in the MS-01 or MS-03 you need to be thinking about a candidate or getting signed up for yourself. In North Carolina the NC-5 and NC-10 have unfiled candidates according to the Swing State folks. So the only unchallenged seat is the NC-6. If you live there it's time for you to get busy and get someone into the race. We really have to get the Democrats to step up. Remember folks any unchallenged Republican spend all their time undermining other districts. They pour all the money they get into other races. People can't make a choice to get rid of the worthless Republican scum unless there is another option on the ballot. It's time to step up for the party folks. Win or lose, we have to make them fight!

PoliPoint Press. Thieves

I think PoliPoint Press should have probably found another group of people to scam on this one. To make a long story short (I recommend you read the entire post on the subject) PoliPoint Press appears to have lifted a book idea from the Buy Blue people and made some cosmetic changes to make it "legal". As always when dealing with the ruthless criminal corporate entities they have unlimited resources, no limit to how evil and cruel they are willing to be and of course a never ending number excuses and misdirections they will use. The primary thing to take from this is to not buy their ill gotten book "The Blue Pages". It's interesting that they would pick the idea from the heart of the progressive movement and then think they would be able to sell such a book to us? That's a bit on the dumb side there.

Bloggers: an army of irregulars

I think this Paul Reynolds is definitely on to what the Blogging revolution really means. Personally I think it's an unconscious effort to redemocratize our country that's occurring. For years people on both sides, good and evil, have been railing against one injustice or another in private. But the effects have always been very narrow in scope because we don't have the means to reach a wider audience. But with the internet allowing unlimited access for everyone to blogs of anyone they want to hear from, there has been a discovery that we aren't all alone screaming at our televisions or radios by ourselves. Reynolds sort of missed the boat when he made the comment that we refer to them as the "mainstream media". That was long ago dropped because to pretend that what passes for media in this country for sure doesn't even approach what is the "mainstream" so most of us have moved to calling them traditional media. No I'm not going to pretend for a moment that bloggers are "mainstream". We are people that are a step ahead of most of the rest of the country. We've taken the battle between good and evil to the next level. But mostly we share a common enemy, which is the traditional media. Bias is the battle cry and the blog is the sword that hacks away at our common foe. Ultimately I think Paul is correct that we should be engaging the bloggers and listening to some level of the complaints can they hope to survive. Because on the daily basis they are being demonized by both the good and evil sides of the world. There are many in the traditional media that believe that acknowledgement of the complaints will somehow give them legitimacy, but the reality of the situation is that by ignoring them they are feeding the war against them. Do any of us ever believe that there will be news without bias in it? Absolutely not. People are inherently either good or evil, it's just a fact of life. I think that we will start to see a push towards acknowledgement of bias in the traditional media and an effort to give both sides a more equal share of the limelight. Which will make the traditional media more credible and allow bloggers to turn their own attentions to their own more hopeful or sinister agendas.

We need 3 candidates in Ohio

It's frustrating that these requests take so long to get people involved. We need to already have had 100% of the races covered already. I'm a firm believer that every position that's up for election should have a person assigned to find a person for it. Upon failing that they will be on the ballot themselves for that position. Republicans are inherently unqualified to be human beings, let alone leaders. Their hate of this country is fundamental in their make up. Not a single position in our great nation should ever be conceded to a single Republican. This situation in Ohio is compounded by a weakness for tradition among Democrats. It's always been the tradition that you don't run someone against the leadership of the opposing party. The only problem with that is the fact that Republicans have broken that rule time and again. Which should mean that all bets are off. If the Republicans don't want to play like gentlemen why should we? If you live in Ohio and realize how the incompetent and evil Republicans have damaged your state at both the federal and state level, then it's time to strike back and run against these worthless animals.

Monday morning shut down the Senate switchboard

For those of you that have been watching the Filibuster battle it has been an interesting day. All over the country hundreds of thousands freedom minded individuals have been fighting desperately to get the attention of their elected officials trying to get them to stand against the evil monster that is Alito. There are several people keeping up with the progress so check it out over at Democrats.com. I've taken a more neutral approach towards this situation than most. This is a win-win situation for Democrats. As soon as they possibly can the Republicans will use Alito to rewrite the Constitution of the United States to turn this country into a third world theocracy. I have little doubt that this will happen, my question is what will the America people do about it? We know the anti-America hate group that is the Republican party will happily march us into slavery. My question is what about everyone else? For me what's even more tragic is the notion held by some that there is some way to reason with Republicans of any sort. It's laughable because they hate America, end of sentence, end of thought, end of line. There isn't any reasoning with them. For decades this notion of "moderate" Republicans has been floated in Blue States to allow them to get elected. The reality has always been that they were just waiting for their chance to betray our country. Now they have it and they are striking like the serpents in the grass they've always been. Republicans have been working in the shadows for decades trying to destroy our country. Many of us have been screaming warnings for years that this was their only goal, they hate our freedom, they hate our way of life, they hate America, it's core to the kind of people they are. It's not new, it's the way they've always been. I know what you're thinking...how is the destruction of our country really good for Democrats? For decades the Republicans have screamed from the roof tops that if they were able to change the world into their third world theocracy and take away all of our rights and freedoms that we would live in Utopia finally. And the stupid among us ate it up with both hands. Sometimes stupid people just have to choke on their ignorance before they learn anything. The Republicans have already started moving cases into the courts in anticipation of Alito's tipping the court to the radical right. They are moving as quickly as they can to destroy America in this one moment that they have to harm us. It's only by allowing this duplicity that we can end this evil cancer growing on our great nation once and for all. It's time for Americans to decide once and for all if they want freedom and prosperity, or if they crave slavery so much that they will embrace it. Honestly for the first time in my life I can't tell you which outcome is more likely. We've entered one of the darkest times in our Republic's history. I can't predict one way or another how the masses will react. I used to believe Americans were naturally great people and that we would rise to any challenge like our forefathers, but this cancer of cowardice that has started to consume our greatness put many things in doubt for me. I want to believe, but I see nothing that inspires me to confidence about my country's future. My instinct is to sit back and watch the dice roll and hope for the best. I'm not sure there is much else that can be done at this point.

The Risks for the Blogosphere of Taking on Lieberman

Matt Stoller over at MyDD has concerns about the fight to turn Lieberman's seat into an actual blue seat. While my feelings on the subject are very well known, he does ask an interesting question. Beyond the fears about what if we lose the fight. Actually we should probably start there first. If we take a stand against Lieberman's brand of DINO ideology what happens? He wins the primary and a Democrat is still in the seat. The Blogosphere has never been taken seriously by the establishment Democrats, so the notion that we would stand against them will actually give us some street credibility. Actually they will probably try and avoid us completely going forward. Which will not work since we are actually a reflection of the base of the party. Not the establishment base, but the actual people that show up on election day to vote. In the end we will replace the party establishment. IF we win, Connecticut is a solid blue state, people will vote for the Democrat no matter who they are. It's not like there is a massive Republican constituency there that have been voting for a Democrat despite their party. Republicans don't work that way except at the local level. They vote the party line like robots. This will give the Netroots a massive leg up in future party discussions. Remember unlike the Republican controlled blogosphere, there is almost no connection between the liberal blogosphere and the actual party. The Republican bloggers get their talking points and put them in to print immediately. Liberal bloggers actually have to find the information for themselves, decide what's important and then try to figure out what the party is doing on the subject. In the end the only question we have to ask ourselves is this; "If not now, when?" We must act against those that seek to betray America in our party's name. There can be no peace with these people. A red state candidate I think we are all willing to cut them a break for now, but for Blue State Candidates it's unforgivable. The establishment will always resist change, that's life. Sometimes it has to happen for the greater good of us all.

I think it's clear that the risk is if we don't take him on. As I mentioned yesterday he's a snake in the grass, and snakes are simply waiting to strike, particularly venomous ones. It's just a matter of time before he completely goes to the dark side. He's already way too chummy with Bush to be anything but pure evil.

Law Attempts To Limit Anonymous Online Speech

The good folks from the EFF got back to me last night on the subject. They had already had a lawyer taking a look at it and went to the trouble of writing up a post on the subject as well. Dianne's reading of the law was very close to their assesment of it. They feet that only if you were attempting to hide your idenity from your service provider or something like that would it cause you to be subject to this law, but they agreed with me that the law is written so poorly that it could be abused in a much wider range of cases. But they also felt that it would never hold up in court. I'll bet you dollars to donuts that the Republicans will attempt to use the law in the next three years to stifle free speech on the internet especially if they can get that Republican drone Alito on the bench.

Anyway after reading their assessment of the law it has become quite evident my wife should be adding lawyer to her to do list since she seems to have a nack for it. Dianne do those environmental lawyers that take down corporations by themselves get a cut?

Kos is a Koward

Ok this is a funny one for me. On the one hand I completely agree with Markos that there is no point discussing impeachment because Republicans would never impeach their own. The entire culture of corruption that defines the Republican party is built around the notion that they can do no wrong and they won't do anything to each other if they do something wrong. So what is the point of agitating for them to do their jobs? Let's say they were actually under such pressure and had some sense of morality...I know hard to imagine, but we are pretending at this point. If they were to impeach the President and he was then removed from office what would we get? Well given that the radical America haters control every branch of the government we would get another worthless piece of human trash. They would be just as bad or worse than the human trash that occupies the White House now. So the point of the exercise is what? To give another criminal a chance to occupy the White House while the American people foolishly give this new thief the benefit of the doubt and allow our country to get in worse shape? So I think Kos and the other "Kowardly" groups that are standing with him are on the right track. The focus of progressives, liberals and anyone else that loves America should be to remove the Republican cancer from our nation's capital. It does no good to extract the tumors when you aren't going to kill the cancerous cells that started them. First we remove the Republican's ability to legislate their hate ideology, then we remove the cancerous lesions from the body politics. Markos is providing leadership for the activist community that is both wise and calculated. If we give in to our baser natures and turn into hate mongers like our opponents we become something worse than they are, mostly because we aren't as worthless as they are so we should know better.

Yeah, we'd have to somehow impeach Bush, Cheney, the Speaker of the House, the President Pro-tem of the Senate, and several cabinet members all at the same time before we got to someone relatively inoffensive like the Sec. of Labor or Sec. of Commerce. I don't think I've heard anything particularly awful about either of them.

Posted by: cjmr at January 5, 2006 7:05 PM

Yeah, I went through the line of Presidential succession when impeachment talk started and the least offensive one is Gale Ann Norton, Sec. of Interior. She's still a Republican and likely a corporate stooge, but the only one remotely qualified to be President in the line. The rest of them are so evil or unqualified that I wouldn't trust them to do my yard work. BTW, Sec. of Labor and Commerce are both unqualified to be President, so they couldn't take the position if they had the chance.

I think the 50 State Strategy has failed

I've been pouring through the websites looking for an answer and sadly I don't think that there is an acceptable one. It appears the Democratic party has failed to complete on their promise to attack the GOP hate machine on every single front possible. Which means they've opened up a stream of unchallenged revenue for the GOP, that combined with their standard use of ill gotten gains from their criminal activity, pretty much guarantees that the Republicans will be able to attack Democrats on more fronts than they would have been able to. I'm hoping that I'm completely wrong on this one, but I can find no evidence to prove I'm wrong. I'm wondering if there was someone just holding out hope that the lawsuit would redraw the districts so they didn't favor Republicans anymore and figured they would get a chance to run then. Which was nothing but foolish if that's what was being thought.

Has anyone else heard anything about this?

Kos-Eye View

All I can say is ! I can't believe they printed something that close to the truth in an American magazine. The folks at Newsweek must be trying to get on the Republican hate list or something. As always Markos is dead on with his analysis. Mind you there are still a few things we disagree on, but as a whole I'd love to see this kind of truth to be my starting point most days. I really agree with him that Bloggers are a bad source for fund raising. It costs money to run a blog and we don't have a lot extra usually laying around to fund political groups. We can lead people to funding choices, but the reality is that we don't have anymore influence than that. The one place I have to disagree with him on is the 2006 race. I'm still leaning towards a shift in at least one house of Congress and he doesn't buy that. I understand his cynicism on the subject because the American people have betrayed themselves before and there is no reason to think that good sense will suddenly overtake them this election especially with the Republicans "counting" the votes. But I think he's underestimating the entire picture of what's happening in this country right now. The American people are angry and they are looking for the source of their rage. They've stopped trusting their normal outlets of information and are looking for someone to lead them. I think that's where the blogsphere will be able to play an important role in the next election. Next year will be filled with scandal and corruption coming out of every pore of the Republican party. The party's condescending platitudes of "trust us" just doesn't ring true to even the most devout Republicans. They are starting to feel like they've been taken for fools. There is the core 20% or so that would never flinch if the Republican party got on national television and explained they were the minions of Satan, but the rest of the party want to view themselves as reasonable and intelligent people and they looking for an excuse to join with the rest of the country that has been alienated from them and get America back on course.

To end on a positive note, I have to agree with him that Warner is the presidential candidate to watch in 2008. I don't know what Hilary's plans are, but just the suggestion that she might run ties down Neo-con resources trying to defame her and that's good for everybody. If you get a chance go over and read Markos' insights on the political future of this country. And if you get a chance pick up his new book.

A Media Matters 50-state strategy

I was over at MyDD and Bobcat JH was debating an interesting idea. Basically setting up a Media Matter style research group that worked on every radical right wing outlet in every part of the country. I know what you're thinking, the Republicans lie on such a massive scale that an organization like this would be swamped. I mean Media Matters can barely keep up with all the lies the Republicans are spreading daily on just Fox News. I mean there are several volunteer organizations working with them to just keep their heads above water. But I think this idea might have merit because of the inherent weaknesses of Republicans. They are lazy and stupid so it's not like they are working overtime to make up their lies anymore. Now they just spread the same lies out through all their media outlets at the same time. I think that just tracking the lies through the different news outlets wouldn't take much efforts. I mean the Republicans have basically concentrated all the media under the control of a handful of people who do nothing but recycle the same lies in every media outlet. So basically all you have to do is track down their media networks and just follow the same lie throughout the entire Republican media empire and crush it. Then basically you take those media outlets by area and allow people to download the fact checked versions of the major media stories in their area. It doesn't help you with the local spin on local issues, which is most likely very extensive knowing the Republican hate machine, but one battle at a time. The key is to start short circuiting the process then let the cascading failures to spread their hate destroy them. It's a great idea, but I think it will work.

Progressive Blogosphere Not Breaking Through To Mainstream Media

Chris Bowers has been on a tear lately pointing out the truth to everyone that will listen. The guy is part genius and part madman, but keyed into the capital T version of the Truth. He goes into a matter of why there isn't a transmission of blogsphere topics to the Mainstream Media. He considers this to be a major problem and matter of great concern. I thought about his post on my entire commute home and the more I think about it none of his revelation is really that surprising to me. The progressive blogsphere is not going to get picked up by the MSM because we hate the MSM. I'm trying to remember someone in the progressive circles that doesn't eviscerate the MSM on a regular basis. It's why we exist actually because the MSM is controled by the radical right wing and are nothing more than propaganda mouth pieces for the Republican party. So it's not surprising that we would be at odds with one another...we are literally mortal enemies.

His next major point is also not surprising, the progressive blogsphere is poorly funded and organized. The radical right is nothing more than one continuous America hating mob that lashes out anything decent and good. They are the largest most organized hate group in human history. Their only goal is the destruction of the United States. They have decided to sell the country off to the most corrupt corporations on the planet and they are basically happily selling out the America to fund their empire of hate and corruption. By comparison we will always be under funded and working with nothing.

What we need is a rational set of benchmarks to compare ourselves to and not to the empire of evil. The blogsphere doesn't have enough resources to actually protect the United States against all the efforts of the Republican party to destroy it...our job is just to slow them down. We are executing the greatest fighting retreat ever. Our enemy is impaling their insane selves on our spears and we are leading them around in circles keeping them from their goals. Yes progress is being lost, but we've stymied these worthless pieces of human trash from their real goal...the complete and utter destruction of our way of life. Sure they are working day and night to build their dream utopia of a racist theocracy, yet with control of everything they have been complete and utter failures as human beings and as a government. Their hate filled way of life is prefaced on evil and that evil brings them to their own end. Just like any other terrorist group, defeating the Neo-cons and the Neo-Christians is a matter of sacrifice and grim determination. They attack American women and children, we attack their corporate masters. We follow the money and expose those who support the terrorists. Our jobs are to poison the wells that they draw their strength from and expose their America hating ideology for what it is.

Will there always be terrorists? Yes we must be honest with ourselves. For as long as there is one self-righteous Neo-con ass living to pass his hate and ignorance onto the next generation then our way of life will always be threatened, but the key is to build a better life and free people from the insane delusion being taught by the purveyors of this hate ideology. We must free the churches from these hate preachers and clean up the schools of every one of these terrorists. Neo-conservative thought must be rooted out and destroyed everywhere that it lives. It must be pushed back into the shadows where it has always lived and never again be allowed to see the light of day. And that starts with each one of us willing to stand up against the evil that is the Republican party. Every progressive and liberal that is willing to sacrifice their time and money to the cause needs to. Should we all be doing more? Absolutely, but anything we do ties up the resources of the enemies of America. Every year we rescue more people from the evils of radical right and show them that Americans can stand up against evil together. Hate defines Republicans and their way of life. And our way is that of hope. And hope will always triumph.

GOP Blogs More Effective?

So a radical anti-American Republican columnist says that the GOP blogs are more effective than Democratic blogs. My first thought was "yeah right!" But Kos makes a strong case. If you look at the blogsphere as only a extension of the right wing MSM then they really are extremely effective at what they set out to do. I mean I can go to any radical right wing blog and hear the same tired crap I hear on Fox News without any alteration or filtering. They are literally nothing but ditto heads for the GOP. But Republicans aren't naturally smart people so it's not surprising that they just regurgitate what they've been told. So the real question is what is the goal of Democratic or progressive blogs? We tend to try expose corruption and solve problems. For a Republican both of these seem like pure insanity. I mean how dare we think that we should question our corporate masters like we have freedom or something. They would never even consider doing something like that for a moment. They are natural born slaves in that respect. Liberals don't move as one mind as a general rule. We all come to our own conclusions and when we have some sort of consensus we move towards a goal. Republicans are told and they do... they don't think or wonder why they are doing something. It's just a different kind of mentality or lack of it that we are talking about here. I guess if you're a Republican looking at the world from a point of insanity then the liberal blogsphere is a complete and utter failure. Which I tend to agree with Kos on, let them believe that. Unlike in Iraq where this same kind of mentality is costing American lives, it's actually buying us time to build infrastructure and ideas to beat the worthless Republican scum. So it's all good in the end. So you godless pieces of Neo-Con trash, these aren't the droids you a looking for, you need to move along.

Crashing the Gate

Well it appears that Jerome and Markos have finished their new book. They appear to be releasing it in a slightly different way. Unfortunately unlike the radical hate writers liberals don't have an infrastructure in place to release a new book. When one of the members of the Republican hate establishment writes a new book they have structures in place to immediately move it to the top of the listings by using hate groups to guarantee sales at a high enough level. Not to mention the fact that the entire corporate establishment is also working with them to spread their hate ideology to insure the radical right America haters stay in power. Meanwhile people who actually have something honest and truthful to say about the state of affairs in our country are basically censored out of existence. I imagine that we will see this mechanism kick in when this book is released. The right wing will probably rush books in to print to make sure they can keep this book from reaching the best seller list. It doesn't matter though because Americans are clued into the anti-America message of the radical right and no amount of spin can help that. So if you get a chance pre-order the book Crashing the Gate.

I expect that it will be a great guide on taking our country back from the America hating radical right wing Republican party.
